Preparing for Your Procedure

We’re committed to helping you take the next step toward better heart and vascular health. To ensure your procedure goes as safely and smoothly as possible, please read the following instructions carefully.

The Week Before Your Procedure

In the days leading up to your procedure, stay well-hydrated. We recommend drinking 2–3 liters of clear fluids the day before your appointment. If lab work is required, it must be completed within 7 days of your scheduled procedure. If any concerns are found in your results, your physician’s office will contact you directly.

The Day of Your Procedure

Please arrive at least one hour before your scheduled procedure time. Do not eat or drink anything for at least 6 hours before your appointment. Let your doctor know if you have any allergies to iodine or shellfish. For your safety, avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, or using any recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before your procedure.

Checklist:

  • No food or drink 6 hours before your procedure

  • Inform your doctor of any iodine or shellfish allergies

  • No smoking, alcohol, or recreational drug use 24 hours prior

What to Bring With You

Please come prepared with important documents and any personal medical items you may need. This ensures your check-in process runs smoothly and safely.

Be sure to bring:

  • Insurance card(s)

  • Driver’s license or photo ID

  • Any medical device wallet cards (if applicable)

  • A current list of medications, including pain relievers

  • Glasses and hearing aids (with storage case)

  • Living will or healthcare proxy forms, if you have them

Please note: We do not honor DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) orders at this facility.

What to Wear

Dress in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Please leave valuables and jewelry at home, and do not wear nail polish on the day of your procedure. You may be asked to remove dentures, contacts, partials, or body piercings before the procedure begins.

Transportation

For your safety, you must arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home after the procedure. You will not be allowed to drive yourself, and public transportation is not permitted. A caregiver should also remain with you for the first 24 hours after your procedure.

  • Someone must stay with you for 24 hours post-procedure

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your procedure, please notify your doctor’s office at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any disruptions in care.
